HD Radio Shares Spotlight at CES 2010

PMG President Tommy Hadges spent several days at this year's CES in Las Vegas, absorbing information about all types of new consumer electronics innovations. Tommy's series on the CES continues with what's new on the consumer side with HD Radio:

Many HD Radio products were on display, including portable mobile devices (from Insignia, Zune, Cydle & Sangean), in-dash car receivers (from JVC, Dual, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Jensen & Clarion), table radios (from Teac, Coby & AR) & home receivers (from Denon, McIntosh, Yamaha, Marantz & Onkyo). One very interesting innovation was an Electronic Program Guide displayed on a Cydle portable navigation device with built-in HD Radio, which would list all of the programs scheduled on all the HD stations in each local market, which would certainly make it easier to find interesting listening on the more than 1800 HD stations already broadcasting in the U.S.
