3D Update: TV and Blu-ray Sets Available

TV manufacturers are rushing to get 3D TV sets and Blu-ray players into the market. Samsung and Panasonic started selling their 3D TV models a few weeks ago. LG will debut theirs in April and Sony is scheduled to do so in June.

Meanwhile, plans for making 3D channels via various distribution channels are also on the horizon. DirecTV is planning to debut a 3D channel in June. The satellite TV company will be relying heavily on movies in the initial stages, although ESPN has already announced that it will be offering certain events in 3D later this year, including some World Cup games.
