Gaming Gains on Social Networks

Over 24% of UK and US Internet users play social games <http://www.dmwmedia.com/news/2010/02/17/survey-24-internet-users-are-social-gamers> regularly, according to a survey conducted by Information Solutions Group. Unsurprisingly, Facebook was the #1 site for social gamers. 83% of those who play cite Facebook as their most popular destination. One of the most interesting findings is that 55% of the players are female, unlike console games that are predominantly male. Here are some other findings from the study:

• Average age of gamers: 43
• % of US gamers over the age of 50: 46%
• % 21 years old or younger: 6%
