Social Networking Driving Mobile Usage

To no one's surprise comScore has released figures showing that social networking is driving the growth of mobile usage. The April figures <http://www.dmwmedia.com/news/2010/06/04/social-networking-now-fastestgrowing-mobile-sector> show that 14.5 million people accessed social networking sites from mobile devices, which is a 240% increase from the same period in 2009. Here are the comparable increases for other categories of mobile consumption:

• Sports: 113%
• Banking: 113%
• Weather: 111%
