Gartner's report <http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1421013> on the top smartphone platforms worldwide shows that Nokia's Symbian OS ranks first, compared with Android, which is the new #1 in the US market. Here is the list of the leading mobile phone manufacturers (all types, not just smartphones) worldwide:
- Nokia 34.2%
- Samsung 20.1%
- LG 9%
- RIM 3.4%
- Sony Ericsson 3.4%
- Motorola 2.8%
- Apple 2.7%
- HTC 1.8%
