XM A "Major" Cell Phone Player?

So says stock analyst David Bank, who sees the satellite provider as being a major provider of content for cell phone providers within three years. The only hold up being the technological requirements, which Bank sees as fairly low hurdles to leap.
More Momentum For Mobile Gaming

Vivendi Universal just announced that it was launching a mobile games unit. One of the drivers of phone gaming is that most new phones now included 3D engines that allow for a surprisingly rich gaming experience.

Time Warner COO Jeff Bewkes told Daily Variety that he preferred ad-supported on deman downloads more than the iTunes pay model, which he called "relatively ineffective." Leveraging its AOL division, Time Warner will mix ad-supported and pay downloads via a new video store at AOL.com.
AOL Opens Up AIM

AOL's instant messaging service (AIM) has long been the largest in the world - and also the most closed, with both its client and its network. A small step in the open direction occurred this week as AOL announced it was opening up the development of its AIM client to third party developers. Its network, however, will still be limited only to AIM users with no interoperability with MSN or Yahoo.
