Teen Text Tally

A new Nielsen report <http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/online_mobile/u-s-teen-mobile-report-calling-yesterday-texting-today-using-apps-tomorrow/> says that U.S. teens text an average of 3,339 time per month. And girls are the more prolific sex, sending an average of 4050 texts each month! Teens, of course, are the kings and queens of texting, sending far more than any other demographic. Amazingly, teens text twice as much as the next demographic, 18-24's.

The Nielsen report shows teen texting to be up 8% from Q2 2009 to Q2 2010. But all demographic groups show an increase in texting compared to last year, with the other demographic groups increasing even more than 8% year on year.
