Nielsen published a survey of American consumers and their interest in purchasing various tech gadgets over the next 6 months. Old standards like computers and TV sets came out on top; however, smartphones (non-iPhone) and iPads aren't far behind. Here are the top 10 items on the list:

- TV Set 19%
- Smartphone 19%
- iPad 18%
- Blu-ray Player 17%
- E-reader 15%
- Nintendo Wii 15%
- iPhone 13%
- Sony PSP 13%
- iPod Touch 11%
