Another One Bites The Dust

Nokia launched its unique “Comes With Music” phone-with-music a couple of years ago to great fanfare. In like a lion, out like a lamb....Nokia recently announced that it was shutting down the service (since re-branded as “Ovi Music Unlimited) in most countries. While it will continue for now in a few Asian countries, the European service, including the U.K., will be shut down permanently.

The service never got a lot of traction due to various rites and DRM issues. These were also among the reasons that Nokia never offered it in the US. For now, besides the Asian subscription service, Ovi will continue to sell individual song downloads in 38 countries.
