Apple's iOS 4.3

One other important part of Apple's iPad 2 rollout presentation was an update on the Apple iOS, which will be available to existing iPad users on March 11th, the same day the iPad 2 goes on sale. Apples' iOS 4.3 will have a number of interesting upgrades:

• Better Safari performance - Improving the basic browsing experience.
• Home sharing - Now available between the iPad and iTunes.
• iPad switch preference - Users can choose whether the hardware switch on the iPad will lock the screen into landscape or portrait orientation (as the original iPad OS did), or whether it will be used as the Mute button (as the latest version of the OS does).
