New York Times Erects Pay Wall

For the second time in its history the New York Times is attempting to erect a pay wall and make online visitors pay for content. Starting on March 28th, online and mobile app users will be permitted to read 20 articles a month for free. On the 21st try they will be asked to subscribe. The Times is offering 3 levels of subscription:
- $15/month - Complete website access and a smartphone app
- $20/month - Complete website access and the iPad app
- $35/month - Complete access via all 3 platforms
Current subscribers to the Times paper (as well as those of its global edition, The International Herald Tribune) will have free access across all platforms.
