Time Warner's Streaming iPad App

Time Warner, the US's 2nd largest cable provider, has launched a live streaming iPad app for its subscribers. More precisely, the "TV Everywhere" app is for subscribers to both its cable and broadband Internet services. The app is designed to allow these customers to stream live programming that they already subscribe to to their iPads within their own homes.

The service only works while users are hooked up via a wireless network connected to their Time Warner modem. This limits the scope of the portability of one's cable subscription, but it does enable users to access content their paying for from anywhere in their home that they can access their Wi-Fi connection.
