The Gift Of Goodbye

If friends or loved ones can't meet you where you're at, it's ok.

It doesn't mean they were never your friend.

It doesn't mean that they didn't or don't love you.

It doesn't mean that you are unworthy. It doesn't mean that they are unworthy of you.

It simply means that life goes on.

Like it or not change happens. We progress. They progress. Maybe our progression is on a different timetable.

At one point they were there. They were where you were.

This was not by accident.

You met, you danced, and hopefully you learned and grew.

Maybe you didn't.

Maybe they did.

Maybe they didn't.

Maybe you did.

Life is full of births and deaths.

Each death is the opportunity for a new birth.

The birth of a new realization, the birth of a new relationship, the birth of a new you, but always the birth of a new moment.

We can spend our limited time mourning the death of what once was, or rejoicing in what is, and the beauty of the possibility of what could be.

If we are open.

Choose to be open.

Don't be angry. Don't be sad.

Be thankful.

It is all a gift. It is up to us to choose to receive it.
